Anne Hathaway's Bed and Breakfast and Garden Suites
Located in the historic district, Anne Hathaway's Bed and Breakfast and Garden Suites provide a cozy home away from home for visitors to Ashland looking for fine food and a memorable experience. Innkeepers Deedie and David Runkel set a standard of excellent service that guarantees every guest a stimulating and enjoyable visit. Guests have the option of staying at our 7-bedroom bed and breakfast, or one of seven garden suites. The bed and breakfast has four rooms with queen beds, one with twins bed and one with a single trundle bed that is terrific for the single traveler, or child. In fact, two kids can sleep in this room when the trundle is used. Guests at the bed and breakfast are served a full 3-course breakfast, starting the fresh-made scones; afternoon tea and evening snacks, port and sherry. Guests can read, relax or discuss the issues of the day, or of Shakespeare's day, in our comfortable living room; in an upstairs reading area; on the front porch swing or the wicker set; or among the blossoms in several areas of the back and side yards. Those guests chosing the Garden Suites have breakfast options. Come across the street to the bed and breakfast for the full breakfast or have a continental breakfast in the Lounge with something freshly-baked, fruit, cereal, yogurt and juice or make your own breakfast in the mini-kitchens in each room and eat inside or around a table on either a back deck or a front porch. Private gardens provide space for reading, sunning, relaxing or discussing last night's play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival; musical performance at the Britt Festival in nearby Jacksonville; the fishing or rafting trip on the Rogue; the day trip to Crater Lake, Oregon's Caves, the bird refuge at Klamath Falls or the Lassen National Volcanic Park in Northern California; or discover Ashland's wonderful Lithia Park. Or you can be planning your shopping trip in tax-free Oregon, either by driving to one of the malls in nearby Medford or walking to one of Ashland's locally-owned, independent stores. Six of the seven Garden Suites have jacuzzi tubs, and all have kitchenettes and in-door seating areas. There is also a Lounge with a television, telephones and games in the separate office building. Wireless internet connections are available in both the bed and breakfast and in the garden suites. All rooms are air-conditioned and private parking is provided at no additional cost. Anne Hathaway's is located a block and a half from the southern end of the downtown business district and only four and a half blocks to the theatres.
