Brightwood Guest House B&B

Expect to be pampered at the Brightwood Guest House.
The cedar paneled interior, large bath & kitchenette are so well provisioned, our guests need bring only themselves.
Come as you are!

Kitchen cupboards are filled with dishes & flatware, coffee, tea, cocoa & cider mix, spices & herbs, popcorn & snacks.  Ice, soda pop and condiments are in the fridge.

In the spacious bathroom you'll find soft cotton towels, shampoos & rinses, bath lotions & potions, and many other toiletries.  In the tub enclosure is an adjustable-height rain shower.

Breakfast is a special event, delivered to your table when YOU want it.  We use organic ingredients when possible.  Your meal will feature at least 5 courses, and may include yummies such as blueberry pancakes, fire-roasted potatoes, tropical fruit and yogurt parfaits, seared vegetable fritattas, cream-stuffed french toast, fresh berries & whipped cream, crab casserole, country sausage, and lemon cake.

Outdoors, down by the creek, the covered fireplace and two huge, wooden claw-foot hot soaking tubs will delight tired muscles whether rain, snow or shine.

Later, climb up into the cabin loft and nestle into the queen feather bed on soft cotton sheets.

Each room is graced with fresh flowers, and more bloom outside from early spring through autumn. Birds animate large sunny windows before the private deck.

Ringed by 90 year old towering fir & cedar trees, and secluded by a clear creek and forested hill, we're centered on 2 acres of the historic Barlow Road, part of the Oregon Trail. The Guest House is the former site of a pioneer way station.
