Muffins Outside          dining room          Breakfast in Bed          Fresco Dining with a Breakfast Custard

No other experience brings you that elusive thing we call home as quickly as waking up to the warm and comforting aromas of breakfast. Coffee being freshly ground and sweet and savory delights vying for your nose’s attention; you know that something wonderful awaits your arrival at the breakfast table. Any possibility might exist.  You may be surprised with fresh scones with homemade jams, gnocci with fresh herbs, a 3” high savory custard, or perhaps a French crepe, an Italian fritatta, or a Spanish Tortilla. No matter the experience, you can be assured that the Innkeepers of The Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild take Breakfast very seriously.

Apple Inn Breakfast

Apple Inn Bed and Breakfast

The Apple Inn is pleased to meet your exacting standards of a special Bed and Breakfast experience.  Kathe is a retired Home Economics teacher who loves to practice her art on you. Many years of experience and shared recipes go into the Apple Inn Cookbook available for sale.  It makes a great addition to your library or a gift for someone special.  We have pictured here an individual sized puff pancake filled with fresh local strawberries and served with a choice of homemade syrups.  Have you ever experienced red hot candy syrup or orange Grand Marnier? We also make syrups from our local organic berries.  Kathe loves to make you her special homemade coffee cakes, muffins, scones and special cinnamon rolls to include with your breakfast entree, juice, fresh fruit, bacon or apple sausage.  Come and enjoy.

Canned Fruit

McKenzie River Inn

There is nothing like the taste of cold fresh apple cider made from organic apples that have ripened in our orchard during the hot sultry days of summer. The fruit is hand picked and the juice is extracted in an old fashioned apple press. Nothing is added, the taste is naturally sweet and we serve this at our breakfast table. Imagine spreading home made plum jam on a hot buttered English muffin. We make our jam from several varieties: Damson, Italian and wild plums. The taste is ambrosia. We also serve our pears, blackberries and blueberries in season with Belgium hazelnut waffles and 10 grain pancakes. Our abundance of fruit will make your breakfast a delightful experience here at the McKenzie River Inn.

Abbey Road Farm Bed and Breakfast

Since our arrival in the area in 2003 we have sought to transform our farm into something akin to what we’ve frequently experienced traveling in Europe. With a commitment to providing something genuine and real from the outset, the experience we want people to enjoy here is rooted in the presentation of creatively conceived facilities mixed with wholesome and organic food…the essence of what the Italians call Agritourismo. We are long time devotees of the Slow Food movement and we do our best daily to allow our guests exposure to the concept of eating fresh, seasonal and nutritious meals. We are a working farm. The dairy goats provide the milk that Judi makes into very delicious goat cheese that is served to the guests at breakfast and is also served at some of the wineries at their wine tastings. Chickens provide the fresh eggs for our guests at Breakfast.

Breakfast at Old Parkdale Inn

Old Parkdale Inn

Enjoy a hearty, savory breakfast of Northwest delicacies in our dining room, on the patio or delivered to your room. Though our menu changes with the season, you can expect a fresh-baked pastry or fruit dish: blueberry scones, baked apples, or baked ginger pears to start your breakfast, followed by an entree of perhaps Broccoli/Mushroom Quiche, Italian Frittata, Orange French Toast, or Apple/Pecan Crepes. Fresh homemade granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit are always available.  Being a member of the Hood River Organics Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) group we are able to serve locally grown, organic foods.  And, of course, plenty of coffee, tea, and juice. Enjoy a cup of steaming hot coffee in the gardens. Step out and sample the fresh plums or raspberries from the patch out in the garden …a perfect way to start your day!

Hazelnut Coffee Cake

Blue Plum Inn

Smell the aroma of freshly made cinnamon hazelnut coffeecake wafting from the kitchen and you can begin to enjoy one of our Oregon Bounty breakfast experiences.  Just like this pastry made with local Oregon hazelnuts, many items on the menu are from local farmers who employ sustainable practices.  Alongside your slice of coffeecake might be an Oregon Bartlett pear in homemade syrup.  Even the yogurt is local and organic.  The eggs are free range, and your frittata is likely to be topped with artisan Oregon goat cheese.

Breakfast Picture Clafoutis

Forest Springs Bed and Breakfast

Nature's Alarm Clock: Breakfast. Here at Forest Springs we are serious about the second B in Bed and Breakfast. Here are just a few of our guests favorites: Onion and Feta Cheese Tart with Fresh Basil and Roasted Red Peppers; Wild Blueberry Crepes, Roasted Leek and Tomato Frittata; and Marionberry Clafoutis. When in the Portland Area, consider a slightly more rural stay.

Dining Room Pfeiffer Cottage Inn

The Pfeiffer Cottage Inn

Specializing in local sustainable practices is the goal when planning our meals here at my inn as well as most inn's around The Willamette Valley.  Some of us have the pleasure of being poised in the middle of the most fertile land in the county.  Sitting high among the hills in wine country, resting in our nests amid hazelnut orchards or placed perfectly downtown in a town where "food" is the "word!"  Yes, it's all about the beauty of the feast.  Where can we go to find that perfect meal?  Innkeepers say...right here...in Oregon!
