The Valley is probably most famous for its wines, which authorities rank among the finest in the world. Sports enthusiasts can choose among kayaking, river rafting, biking, skiing, snowboarding and even llama trekking. For covered bridge fans, the valley is a special find with more than three dozen bridges located within the region.

Celebrating Emma Day

Enjoy book signing, a talk by Jane, a guided Emma Walk through the streets of Aurora with museum curator, Patrick Harris, a visit to Emma's gravesite with Jane and concluding the day with a reception with wine and appetizers and chats with Jane and friends.

Camellia Festival

The fastest growing community event in Yamhill County is the Asian/Pacific themed Newberg Camellia Festival (Newberg's official flower). The Camellia Festival is hosted by the Oregon Camellia Society and will be held at the Chehalem Cultural Center on Saturday, April 11 from 10am to 4pm and other locations throughout the city. General admissions to community activities throughout the day are FREE to the public in thanks to the City of Newberg and the Chehalem Park and Recreation District. The highlight of the day will be the judging of hundreds of beautiful Camellias by the Oregon Camellia Society, entered by both professional and amateur growers. Additionally, there will be floral displays by the Chehalem Garden Club and the Sogetsu School of Ikebana-Portland. And of course, there is a 5K fun run.
