Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast sits atop Chehalem Mountain, overlooking the Willamette Valley, home to Oregon’s Wine Country. While Red Chair Travels was here, he stopped for a photo op at the sign, but then hurried down the driveway to soak in the view. He parked himself on the guest deck where we serve breakfast on weather-friendly mornings. From there, he had a great view of the town of Newberg, pinot noir vineyards and fruit and nut orchards. He got the full tour of Chehalem Ridge B&B’s five guest rooms, four which have private decks, with friendly chairs for him to hang out with, and stunning valley views. Red also got to meet Chehalem Ridge’s resident Welcoming Committee, Stumpy.
Founded in 2007 by innkeepers Kristin and Curt Fintel, Chehalem Ridge B&B offers exemplary hospitality, extraordinary views and an exceptionally Oregon experience. Perched on eight acres atop Chehalem Mountain overlooking the Willamette Valley and Coast Range, the inn’s four guest rooms and one suite, all with en suite bathrooms, offer a peaceful retreat between adventures with spectacular views of both mountain and valley. More than 60 wineries are within a 20-minute drive of the contemporary house. Kristin, a former pastry chef, has been hailed by past guests for her mouthwatering gourmet breakfasts, housemade treats and jams, immaculate housekeeping skills, and charmingly quirky sense of humor.
Although Red Chair Travels has moved on to Washington State we still have so many tales to tell of its visit to Oregon.
