Club Crawl the Downtown Newberg Wineries

Three Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild Newberg B&Bs, Chehalem Ridge, The Willows and the DreamGivers Inn,  are offering discounts to the winery club members for this Club Crawl of 10% off a 1 night stay and 20% off a 2 night stay.  It is the first 3 weekends of January.  Club members must book by phone and identify themselves as club members of a participating winery.  This is a good time to become a winery club member.

Enjoy complimentary tastings, discounts on wine, and taste all the wonderful wines that Downtown Newberg has to offer! This Club Crawl is open only to active wine club members.

Club Members will pick up a printed program card from the Winery you belong to and verify eligibility. You will also need to bring a friend because each Card holder gets to bring one guest!  Upon arrival, present your program card to the Tasting Room staff and you will receive a stamp for each location. If you visit all locations and collect all 9 stamps, you will be entered into a raffle to win some awesome prizes! Only Club Members are eligible for Raffle.

For 35 years, Willamette Valley wineries have been throwing open their doors to welcome visitors the weekend after Thanksgiving.  This year, more than 150 wineries continue this tradition November 24, 25 and 26.  Join winemakers in the valley for special tastings, food pairings, live music, holiday discounts and more. Chehalem Ridge B&B:  We love nearby Bells Up Winery.  Winemaker David Specter invites tasters in to Herald the Holidays with him as he shares his handcrafted Pinot noir and Syrah paired with light fair and spectacular views from their new wine porch.  Regularly open by appointment only, David and his wife Sara open this weekend from noon – 4.

The Victorian on 10thVista Hills Vineyard offers spectacular views and is centrally locating in the red hills of Dundee.  They are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a special Thanksgiving lineup of European cheeses paired with six estate wines.  Friday and Saturday – 11 to 5

R.R. Thompson HouseThe Carlton Winemakers Studio presents “The Craft of Winemaking” on Friday and Saturday (11-4) Thanksgiving weekend.  View short videos on the process of winemaking and explore the equipment used by winemakers.  The videos, wine tasting — from some of the best winemakers in the valley, and light appetizers are all included in the $20 fee.

Bounty of Yamhill County 2016 should be your next adventure in Oregon Wine Country

Bounty of Yamhill County 2016 is a one-of-a-kind food and wine experience where Bounty partners with chefs, vintners and farms to create “Culinary Adventures in Oregon Wine Country”.  Fresh events have been added to the weekend, including hiking, yoga, hot air ballooning, and horseback riding, all topped off with delicious food and wine, of course.

Yamhill-Carlton AVA Spring Tasting: Contributed by innkeeper Roselyn of R.R. Thompson House

The 7th Annual Yamhill-Carlton AVA Spring Tasting is set for April 30th from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. at Anne Amie Vineyards on Mineral Springs Road, Carlton.

Over 35 of the region’s top wine producers will be on hand to pour and answer questions.  Small bites will be served by several local restaurants, including Cuvée and The Horse Radish from Carlton and La Rambla from McMinnville.

ROCO Winery Winter Supper Club Series

ROCO Winery is perched on a breathtaking hillside in the Chehalem Mountain Range. The property’s perfect combination of elevation, soil type, natural springs, and geological aspect were the seed of a dream that would eventually become ROCO Winery.

ROCO Winery will be hosting Winemakers Dinners on the following Thursdays: March 3rd, March 24th and April 28th.  Each dinner features a top chef from Portland starting with March 3: Chef Katy Millard of Coquine. Winter in the Willamette Valley

Winter in the Willamette Valley is just beautiful.  Rumor is visitors will encounter rain and even more rain.  And you might but what a sunny and gorgeous time of year especially for touring some of our finest Oregon wineries.  Winter is typically not as busy as the summer months so you might have the opportunity to meet the winemaker or owner, learn more about the wines and why they taste the way they do.  Some might even break out a library wine or take you to the barrel room.  Many wineries are family operations and you might have the opportunity to develop an intimate relationship the entire operation.
