turtlejanes bed and breakfast

turtlejanes bed and breakfast is a delightful small inn on the Oregon Coast in Oceanside, nine miles west of Tillamook, home of world-famous Tillamook Cheese.

The two bedrooms are beautifully appointed with spectacular views, king-size beds, private bathrooms with heated floors, and blackout shades on the windows.

The Tortuga Room has a small deck with a double glider chair for enjoying the magnificent view of the ocean. There is a clawfoot tub, but no shower in this room.

The Tortola Room has a shower and a clawfoot tub, but there is no deck or outside entrance to the room. Both rooms are located on the same level, right above the garage/carport. Guests are allowed to determine their breakfast time. There is a small library containing a wide variety of authors. The extensive turtle theme throughout the inn is extraordinary. Count the turtles if you dare!

Help-yourself coffee, tea, hot chocolate, microwave popcorn and Tillamook ice cream are available to guests around the clock.

Oceanside is a small, quiet village with two restaurants, a coffee shop, post office, and community center. Tillamook is nine miles away where there are restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and other services. The beach is uncrowded and there is a tunnel through the hill that leads to another beach famous for agate collecting. There are amazing hiking trails at Cape Lookout and Cape Meares (where there is a lighthouse and access to the unusual Octopus tree). Birders love the area and it is not unusual to see paragliders coming down from the top of Maxwell Mountain.

Don and Jane enjoy interacting with guests from around the world and many guests return again and again.
