National & State Parks
Home > Find a B&B > National & State ParksThe variety of locales of Oregon's State Parks and National Forests reflects our state's diverse geography including beaches, forests, lakes, rock pinnacles and deserts. Oregon has 153 state parks, and 16 National Forests and the innkeepers of the Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild can't wait to share them with you.
In 2008, National Geographic Society’s Center for Sustainable Destinations, Travel Oregon and Washington State Tourism joined forces with Sustainable Travel International and Sustainable Northwest, to engage local citizens to shape the Central Cascades Geotourism Map Guide.
You can view the online MapGuide at www.thecentralcascades.com. While supplies last, you may be able to purchase the printed map from your OBBG innkeeper during your stay.
The Central Cascades MapGuide will take you to many places of wonder in the Central Cascades, including to one of the two OBBG member B&Bs nominated as destination sites.
A founding innkeeper member of the OBBG Green Certification Program represented the Bed & Breakfast industry on the Stewardship Council helping to create The Central Cascades Geotourism MapGuide.
The goal was to develop both a paper and web-based Map Guide that promotes nature and cultural tourism, supports economic development in local communities, and addresses the need to preserve environmental and cultural assets in the Central Cascades, a region designated to extend from Mt. Rainier National Park to Crater Lake National Park. Learn more at: www.thecentralcascades.com; www.nationalgeographic.com; www.traveloregon.com
