The Valley is probably most famous for its wines, which authorities rank among the finest in the world. Sports enthusiasts can choose among kayaking, river rafting, biking, skiing, snowboarding and even llama trekking. For covered bridge fans, the valley is a special find with more than three dozen bridges located within the region.

Camellia Festival

Event Details:
The fastest growing community event in Yamhill County is the Asian/Pacific themed Newberg Camellia Festival (Newberg's official flower). The Camellia Festival is hosted by the Oregon Camellia Society and will be held at the Chehalem Cultural Center on Saturday, April 13 from 9am to 5pm and other locations throughout the city. There will be live performances throughout the day by groups such as Unit Souzou Taiko, Lee’s Lion and Dragon Dancers, and Oregon Koto-Kai. The Oregon Camellia Society will have their bloom show, including judging of camellia blooms entered by both professional and amateur growers. Vendors will be set up with food, crafts and jewelry connected to Pan-Asian culture. And of course, there is a 5K and 10K run.

Oregon Wine Country 1/2 Marathon
