Bird Watching

A Bird Watchers dream is found at many locations throughout The State of Oregon . There are extensive reserves all over the state. These habitats serve as excellent nesting and brood rearing areas for waterfowl and colonial nesting birds including American white pelican and several heron species. Bald eagle and osprey nest in many parts of the state and can sometimes be seen dining on the local wild life. Many of our Member Inns have grounds or are located near land ideal for birding.

McKenzie River Inn B&B and CabinsPhone: 541-822-6260Though open all year, the best birding is during the spring migration and early summer, April-July, when over 100 total species have been recorded on our property. Because of the open woods, many birds are heard and seen. In fact you are being able to see many of the singing birds. Spring mornings often yield 40-50 species in two hours especially if one knows the songs and calls. Vida, Oregon View Expanded Listing Go to: www.mckenzieriverinn.com View availability |
