Hood River Valley Blossom Spectacular

Hood River Valley Blossoms are an Oregon Must See

The peach, cherry, apple and pear trees in the Hood River valley explode in a harmony of vibrant pink and white flowers around the middle of April. Starting at lower elevations near the town of Hood River they move in a cascading ripple up the Hood River Valley, creating a patchwork of color. The Old Parkdale Inn in the Upper Hood River Valley reports ‘we’ll be in full blossom towards the end of April, first week of May.’

With over 15 million cherry, apple, and pear trees in the Hood River Valley a great way to enjoy Blossom Time is to drive the Hood River County Fruit Loop, a gorgeous 35-mile drive that follows the county’s Scenic Tour Route. Experience an endless wash of white, pink-tinged blossoms from peach, cherry, apple and pear orchards pear that rise toward distant horizons.

Stop along the way to pick up baked goods, preserves, gifts, fresh produce, wine, cider and more at the 28 on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of flowers
