Upper Kentucky Falls (W52): is the first of three spectacular waterfalls on the Kentucky Falls Trail, a 3.7-mile moderate out-and-back hike. This trail leads to three waterfalls and a fun swimming hole. The hike starts at the top of the hill and heads downhill, which means you must hike back uphill for the second half of the hike. Hike down though old growth forest to the spectacular twin falls plunging 100 feet, they are: Lower Kentucky Falls (W51) and North Fork Falls on the North Fork Smith River. The area is also popular with bird-watchers, so grab your binoculars and prepare for spectacular adventure. Leashed dogs are welcome!
