Spring gardens in Oregon can be absolutely stunning, with a wide variety of flowers blooming during this time. Some popular spring flowers in Oregon include tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, irises, and cherry blossoms.
- The Portland Japanese Garden is a beautiful spot to visit during spring, with its serene atmosphere, cherry blossoms, and lush greenery
- Peninsula Park Rose Garden is located in north Portland. As you step into the sunken rose garden, you walk through lush paths, sweeping archways and over two acres packed with 10,000 traditional rose plantings.
- Portland’s International Rose Test Garden is the oldest official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States. The primary purpose of the garden is to serve as a testing ground for new rose varieties.
- Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in Portland is known for its vibrant rhododendron blooms during the spring months.
- Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm – Tulips, Daffodils and other cut flowers will soon be in full bloom from now through April in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Spring will soon arrive and it’s a beautiful time to plan a trip to the Willamette Valley and the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival, which opens March 22 and runs through May 5th.
- Hood River Valley – not just a spring garden but a spring valley in bloom
- Mt. View Orchards – Tulips, plush dahlias, as well as sunflowers, hollyhocks, cosmos, and a wide variety of other flowers. Photographers, you won’t want to miss capturing the vivid colors of the flower fields beneath majestic Mt. Hood. As is always the case, Mother Nature will dictate bloom times but be sure to enjoy flower display all summer long
- Owen Rose Garden may not yet have its trellis walk rose garden bursting with color or the Historic Owen Cherry Tree alight with blossoms; but all this will come. April ushers in the first cherry blossoms, and in May early roses start to flourish. Walk the paths to soak up bird song, spot buds and sprouts and enjoy the glorious transformation, complete by summer.

As of June 1, 2026, the Oregon Association of Independent (formerly the Oregon Bed and Breakfast Guild – OBBG) discontinued the program, and gift certificates are no longer available for sale. However, existing gift certificates remain valid and may still be redeemed.
The Oregon Association offers a wide variety of inns, from a small guest cottage or two-room bed and breakfast to a larger country inn or dude ranch. If you need assistance locating a participating property or have difficulty redeeming your certificate, please contact us—we’re happy to help.
